    Dear Sir.
You refer to the stair rule as being between 600 and 640mm.
My reading of the Building Regulation mentions 2 risers and 1 going needs to be between 550 and 700mm.
Am I confusing different ’sets of rules’?

    Dear Andrew,
Building Regulations change from country to country and the acceptabe limits for the stair rule will also change given the type of stair. Here in France 600-640mm is the standard for interior stairs but steps in a garden can be built up to 700 or 800. In StairDesigner you can use the “control” button in the stair well parameters tool box to define the stair rule according to your own local specs.
    Hope this is useful

Does your program have Inventory option, quotes and estimating or is it strictly a stair software program. I’m considering purchasing this program for my shop how ever I have four computers one on site (laptop) three in office. Does that mean I have to buy this program four times. Thanks for your time

    Hello eric,
Thanks for you comment on my web site.

StairDesigner doesn’t have any inventory or quotes/estimating fonctions. The software does caluculate ctting lists and quantities giving a rough estimation of materiel costs but no other functions.
As a professional stair builder myself I prefer using separate software for these things.
Our project are always different and I find it much more practical to have software specifically adapted for quotes and invoicing.

For using StairDesigner from different computer the best way is to install the demo version on your all different computers and install the full version on the computer you will be printing from. The demo version if the full version without the printing functions, but you can model the stairs and save the file which can then be copied to the printing computer for editing and output.
    Hope this is helpful.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions or comments
    All the best
