What we are not

  • We are not an organisation whose first objective is to make money selling systems that are not adapted to where you are today.
  • We are not a hit and run high tech commandos that leaves you stranded with a complex technological mess that you can’t use.

What we are

  • We know from experience how difficult and full of traps it can be to navigate in the world of high tech applied to wood working businesses.
  • We are passionate about helping the people of our trade to find the right solutions for them today.
  • We are passionate about giving people complete satisfaction through supportive human relations.

Ness Tillson in his workshop

My name is Ness Tillson. I am a professional stair builder based in France, and I’ve been making staircases for over thirty years now.

Over that time, the world has changed massively.

The art and craft of stair building is no exception. In the past, this was a job reserved entirely for professional carpenters at the height of their skills.

Now modern day techniques, power tools and computers have made stair building much more accessible to many professionals, and also to amateur woodworkers.

I have created this website to share my experiences and at the same time a few of the tips and tricks that I have acquired over time.

I hope you enjoy it.

UPDATE: I’m delighted to announce we have now launched a new website called WoodDesigner.org to showcase the software we’ve discovered that we feel can make a massive difference to the success of your business.

We’ve also created an exciting new way in which smaller workshops are able to link up with manufacturers to use the software free of charge.

WoodDesigner.org pools together all our training and resources in one place. You can also access a community and support forum for instant access to expert advice and the opportunity to share your own valuable experiences with other like minded individuals.

Please click here to register for Free to check it all out

Thanks very much!

      Hi Jack,
StairDesigner will export all the parts in DXf files that can be used to run most CNC but I can’t say for your SSR.
I had a look at the youtube videos on the machine and can’t see if there is a DXF interface.
You’ll have to ask the manufacturers if the SSR will work from DXF files.
For your job offer I can post the offer to the people inscribed on my emailing list if you want.

      All the best,
